Talutot Festival

Talutot Festival
Candlelit procession and solemn mass honoring St. Therese of the Child Jesus, drawing thousands of devotees.

The Talutot Festival, held every October 1–2 in Pasay City, celebrates the feast day of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, affectionately known as God’s Little Flower. Named after the Filipino word for “petal,” the festival draws nearly 3,000 devotees each year, all seeking blessings and giving thanks for prayers granted.

A highlight of the festival is the solemn evening mass, followed by a candlelight procession at the shrine. Devotees walk along illuminated paths, both within the shrine and throughout Newport City, reciting the rosary and novena to St. Therese.

The procession is inspired by the Marian Procession in Lourdes, France, creating a deeply spiritual and visually captivating experience. Participants carry candles, creating a serene and reflective atmosphere that embodies devotion, faith, and community.

The Talutot Festival is a unique combination of religious tradition, visual beauty, and communal participation. It allows attendees to immerse themselves in Filipino Catholic culture while honoring one of the most beloved saints.

For visitors, the festival offers a profound spiritual journey, blending solemnity, prayer, and cultural celebration, making it a cherished annual event in Pasay City.
